Barbara Skinner

Barbara Lynn Skinner died January 22, 2022, in Wayne, Oklahoma at the age of 63 years 18 days.  Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 PM, Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel.  Interment will follow at Lexington Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Barbara was born January 4, 1959, in Tulare, California to Earl and Mary Luceal (Wilkinson) Simmons.  She was raised and attended school in Henryetta, Oklahoma.  Barbara was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the First Born at the age of 12.  She married Danny Skinner on November 28, 1978, in Gainsville, Texas.  Barbara loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed quilting, making people laugh, mowing and going to the Idaho camp out.  Barbara liked to travel, as well as, serving the Lord, spending time with the brethren, and helping people.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Earl Simmons and Mary Luceal Skinner; her husband, Danny Skinner; her daughters, Lisa Sanders, Heather Reeves; her grandchildren, Russell Reeves, Austin Sanders; her siblings, Doris Harris, Nora Belle Simmons, Sharon Rosengarten, Mary Simmons; her nephews, Cody Simmons, Aaron Harris, Jr.; and her nieces, Rebekah Scott, Lucy Harris.

Survivors include her children, Cher Hayles and husband, Keith of Lexington, Cristy Barnes and husband, Yancy of Lexington, Billy Skinner and wife, Brandy of Lexington, Danny Skinner Jr. of Wayne,  Jeramy Skinner of Wayne, David Skinner and wife, Jennifer of Lexington, Larry Skinner of New Jersey; Jesika Skinner of Norman, Billy Skinner Jr of Wayne; her 25 grandchildren; her 3 great-great grandchildren and 2 on the way; her siblings, Rhonda Fulton and husband, Gregg of Texas, Rene Ivey of Purcell, Martha Jones and Wayne, Earl Simmons of Lexington; and numerous other relatives and friends.
