Barry Vance Lang

     Barry Vance Lang died September 18, 2025, in Rosedale, Oklahoma at the age of 61 years 3 months 20 days. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Monday, September 22, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Rosedale, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

     Barry was born May 29, 1964, in Purcell, Oklahoma. The youngest of eight born to Odis Odell and Ernestine (Edleman) Lang. Barry was raised in the Rosedale area, graduating from Wayne High School in 1982. With a spirit of determination and craftsmanship, Barry passionately pursued a career as a contractor and carpenter, dedicating many years to his trade. On a lovely day in July 1988, he united in marriage with Tamara Cypert in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, establishing their family home in Rosedale, where they nurtured their love and shared countless memories. Barry was a true outdoorsman, his heart resonating with the wonders of nature. He relished in activities such as fishing, hunting, gardening, and noodling—each reflecting his deep appreciation for the natural world. His hands, skilled and creative, brought life to various woodworking projects, from furniture to homes, further attesting to his passion for creating lasting legacies. Family and friends stood as the heart of Barry’s world. He treasured moments spent in their company, whether gathered around a poker table on a Friday night or cheering enthusiastically for the OU Sooners during football and softball games. However, it was his children and grandchildren who held the deepest place in his heart. Barry's love for family was immeasurable, and he found profound joy in sharing his life with them. Barry was a man of integrity, warmth, and unwavering devotion to his loved ones. His legacy will continue to shine through the stories shared and the love that remains in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

     Barry is preceded in death by his parents, Odis and Ernestine Lang; his sister, Andrea Boydston and husband, Red; and his brother; Danny “Doc” Lang and Randy Lang. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Tamara Lang; his son, Jeff Lang and wife, Cheyenne; his daughters, Kasie Lang and Corrine Cooper; his grandchildren, Dallas Lang, Finley Lang, Brantley Lang; his sisters, Doris Chance, Susie Stringer and husband, Clifford, Donna Stufflebean; twin brother, Brent Lang and wife, Adrienne; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
