Betty Zimmerle

Betty Jane (Bromlow) Zimmerle died October 26, 2017 at her home in Lawndale, California at the age of 77 years 11 months 28 days. Services are scheduled for 4:00 PM, Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the Central Christian Church in Fairview, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Fairview entrusted to the care of Wadley's Funeral Service.
Betty was bron October 29, 1939 in Fairview, Oklahoma to Marion B. And Pansy Juanita (Brownell) Bromlow. She spent 9 years in Fairview and 9 Years in Guymon before graduating in 1957. Betty met and married Danald Glass in 1957 in California, where she has spent the last 60 years. In 1967, Betty continued her education, by attending Merle Norman School of Cosmetology. She worked as a cosmetologist, owning her own business until her retirement in 2003. Betty loved fixing hair to make the ladies look beautiful. She loved spending time with her family, and enjoyed playing video games with her grandchildren. Betty was always challenging them to do their best. She enjoyed celebrating the holidays and birthdays with the entire family. If her children needed her, she was right there to assist with whatever was needed. Betty enjoyed conversations on any and all subjects with anyone and everyone. She enjoyed bowling and bowling tournaments, reading, word search and Suduko puzzles. Betty volunteered her time at the VFW to keep the financial books and ordering supplies. She also helped with their food and events, as well as bartending. Betty loved watching football, especially if the Oklahoma Sooner’s were playing.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Marion B. Bromlow in 1997 and Pansy Juanita (Brownell) Bromlow in 1946; her brothers, Marion Bromlow Jr in 1946, Leroy and Raymond Bromlow in 1936; and sister, Shirley Bromlow in 2012. Survivors include her daughters, Catherine Gomez, and Diana Glass; sons, David Glass, and James Glass; grandchildren, Robert, David Jr., Sabrina, Alicia, Erika and Kristina; great grandchildren, Brianna, Michael, Ezekeil, Mason, Aileen, and Evelyn; brothers, Donald Bromlow; sister, Barbara Feeney; half sister, Cindy Cruz and many other relatives and friends.
