Carol Lynn Cline passed peacefully June 20, 2026, in Washington, Oklahoma at the age of 68 years 10 months 19 days. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 25, 2026, at the Wadley’s Funeral Chapel. Interment services are scheduled for 3:00 PM, Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Parkland Cemetery in Agra, Oklahoma, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.
Carol was born August 1, 1957, in Del City, Oklahoma to Alden and Dorothy (Jackson) McGaha. Raised in Choctaw, she graduated in 1975, marking the beginning of a life filled with hurdles and accomplishments that she never dreamed she would face. On August 1, 1975, Carol married John Cline, together they shared three children: Joni, Kyle and Amy. She was called into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn, starting her walk in the faith on the extremely cold day of December 10, 1978. Carol was baptized by her step grandfather, Brother Claude Greenfield with the assistance of Brother Gene Cramer and Brother Dean Wright, after they had to bust the ice in Brother Ralph and Sister Carrie Quinn's frozen swimming pool. After seven years of marriage, she found herself facing life alone with three young children to raise. Carol overcame many obstacles with prayer and the Lord's grace and guidance. She began working at Oklahoma Natural Gas in Downtown OKC. As her children grew, Carol realized the importance of being more present in her children's lives and despite much opposition, she always persevered in bringing her children to church. Whether they found that one missing shoe or not, she knew that sitting under the influence of the Holy Spirit, they all had the best chance in life. Carol started a series of self-employment opportunities including batch sewing the latest trends to sell around Christmas time, a dog kennel where she sold AKC breeds across the country, opening a sub sandwich and pie shop and antique store simultaneously in their small town, all that her children helped operate. Carol began working for American Fidelity Assurance Company when her children reached driving age. After being noticed for her talents, one of her coworkers became Oklahoma County's Commissioner and named her project manager for Oklahoma County District 1. She became the first female Circuit Engineering District Manager over 21 counties. One of her favorite accomplishments was being the first woman to earn Bridge Inspection Certification. God carried Carol so much so, that she often referred to herself as "God's spoiled brat". Retirement didn't quench Carol's zest for life; she managed an apartment complex where she found joy in her challenges and visiting daily with those who frequented her office. An avid thrifter, she found delight in garage sale finds. Carol had a love for horses her entire life, which was evident through her passion for riding and cutting them. She cherished friendships, notably her heartfelt "therapy sessions" with her friends. Carol never met a stranger; her warmth and wisdom were gifts she eagerly shared with anyone she met. In every moment, she lived fully, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and unparalleled determination.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Alden McGaha; her brother, Dale McGaha; and her grandbabies, Taylor Allen Chambers and Emma Dawn Chambers. Survivors include her daughter, Joni Chambers and husband, Jeff; her son, Kyle Cline and wife, Shara; her daughter, Amy Hobbs; her grandchildren, Olivia Chambers, Erika Chambers, Titus Cline, Carrie Cline, Shelby Cline, Cora Hamm and husband, Mason, Aly English and husband, Baylor, Noah Hobbs, Ellen Hobbs, Joseph Reed; 2 great grandbabies on the way; the father of her children, John Cline; her cousin who was like a sister, Jamie Funkhouser; her sister-in-law, Dana McGaha Thompson; her close nephew, Bobby Cline and wife, Brittany; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
