Charlotte Ann Singleton

     Charlotte Ann “Charlie” Singleton passed October 19, 2026, in Maysville, OK at the age of 76 years 3 days. As per her wishes, no memorial services will be scheduled, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

     Charlie was born October 16, 1950, in Boswell, Oklahoma to Walter Forrest and Lillie Bell (Davis) Clark. Her formative years were spent in Boswell, until her family moved to Moore, where she completed her education. Charlie pursued her vocation with dedication, earning her LPN qualifications at Mid-America Vo-Tech, and went on to serve the community as an Emergency Room Nurse at Purcell Municipal Hospital, where her colleagues became like family. Retiring after many years of service. In a beautiful union on November 18, 1966, Charlie married Gale Dean Singleton in Oklahoma City, and together they spent 51 cherished years, celebrated in love and partnership, until Dean's passing in 2018. Charlie embodied the spirit of family, reveling in gatherings and marking her 76th birthday surrounded by loved ones. A connoisseur of garage sales and flea markets, she delighted in discovering treasures and sharing them. Her culinary talents were renowned, as she filled her home with warmth and ensured that no guest left hungry. Charlie’s stories, woven with rich detail and humor, affirmed her as the world's greatest storyteller, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.

     Charlie is preceded in death by her parents, Lillie and Walter Clark; her sister, Ruby Duncan; her brother, James Clark; and her husband of 51 years, Dean Singleton. Survivors include her daughter, Maggie Rushing and husband, David; her son, Chris Singleton and wife, Darcy; her son, Mike Singleton; her 8 grandchildren; her 13 great grandchildren; her numerous nephews, that were like her own kids; and countless other relatives and friends.
