     David Edward Clutter died August 4, 2025, in Blanchard, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years 5 days, after a courageous battle with cancer. Memorial Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, September 26, 2025, at the Wadley’s Funeral Chapel, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

     David was born July 30, 1949, in East Liverpool, Ohio to Harold Edward and Hattie Elizabeth (Pryor) Clutter. He spent his formative years in Ohio until the age of 15, when his family embarked on a new journey, relocating to California. There, he demonstrated his determination and dedication, graduating from high school in 1967. In April 1969, David answered the call of duty, enlisting in the United States Navy. His service aboard the USS Kitty Hawk was marked by immense pride and commitment, earning him numerous accolades—including the National Defense Service Medal, Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon, along with Vietnam Service and Campaign Medals—reflecting his unwavering dedication to his country. After honorably concluding his service in January 1973, David returned to civilian life, first managing grocery stores in California and Oklahoma, and later as a car successful car salesman. On September 25, 1981, David united in marriage with Marla Beth Cline, with whom he was set to celebrate 44 wonderful years of companionship. David spent 25 years working at Reynold's Ford in Norman, eventually retiring in 2020. His passions included an enduring love for horses and the thrill of horse racing, alongside evenings filled with crossword puzzles, spirited card games with friends, and joyful gatherings and games with family. David possessed a remarkable sense of humor that endeared him to many; he had a unique talent for bringing smiles and laughter into the lives of those around him. We celebrate the life of a man who touched the hearts of countless individuals, leaving behind an indelible legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

     David is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Beth Clutter; and his brother-in-law, Larry Ehrhardt. Survivors include his wife, Marla; his daughter, Lisa Bush and husband, Jeff; his son, Clay Cline and wife, Cassie; his son, Jeff Beveridge and wife, Michelle; his grandchildren, Corbyn Cline, Claylan Cline, Carter Bush, Chandler Bush, Cassidy Beveridge, Tyler Beveridge, Cooper Barefoot, Hadley Barefoot; his sister, Meriesther Ehrhardt; his best buddy, Daisy; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
