Enrique was born September 16, 1955, in Julimes, Chihuahua, Mexico to Martin and Sara Valenzuela de Viezcas. He made the courageous journey to the United States in 1979. On May 21, 1983, Enrique united in marriage with his devoted wife, Imelda Morua, embarking on a life filled with love and shared dreams. Throughout his life, Enrique wore many hats, dedicating a significant chapter to his role as an A/C assembler, contributing over eleven years to GovernAir. However, his talents were not confined to the workplace. After retiring, he with a profound artistic flair, transformed raw materials into splendid works of art—painting, carving exquisite woodworks, crafting piñatas and jewelry, and nurturing a fascination for all things intricate. A pillar in his community, Enrique served as the church treasurer for numerous years and was an active member of the congregation at the 99 in Oklahoma City. His commitment extended beyond administrative duties; he inspired many as a Sunday school teacher and worked diligently with the youth, feeling a profound calling to minister to inmates. He became a mentor to numerous young men, guiding them through life's trials with unwavering support and compassion. Enrique's love for his family was boundless, always striving to ensure they were cared for and nurtured. A man of empathy and understanding, he embodied the essence of a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was not merely a provider but a beacon of strength and warmth, known for his natural teaching abilities and playful sense of humor. Through each interaction, Enrique imparted lessons of love and respect, nurturing those who sought his wisdom with grace. Enrique leaves us with memories of a life rich in love, creativity, and profound impact, knowing that his legacy will continue to inspire and uplift all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Enrique is preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Sara Viezcas. Survivors include his wife, Imelda; his daughter, Abi Leyva and husband, Silvano; his son, Eric Viezcas; his daughter, Amy Viezcas; his grandchildren, Sofia Rossi Leyva, Avi Natalya Leyva, Silvano Leyva IV; his siblings, Francisco Viezcas and family, Martin Viezcas and family, “Chayo” Corpus and family, Irma Argot and family, Marycela Salas and family; as well as many other relatives and friends.
