       Guillermo Chávez Trejo falleció el 26 de junio de 2026 en Lexington, Oklahoma, a la edad de 86 años, 3 meses y 16 días.       Guillermo nació el 10 de marzo de 1940 en Zimapán, Hidalgo, México, hijo de Hipólito Chávez y Ignacia Trejo Muñoz, y vivió una vida llena de dedicación y amor. Creció en el rancho de su familia, donde desde muy pequeño floreció su pasión por los caballos. En el verano de 1984, se caso con el amor de su vida, Alberta Trejo de Chávez. Ese mismo año emprendieron una nueva aventura al emigrar a los Estados Unidos, estableciendo finalmente su hogar en Lexington, Oklahoma. Guillermo fue un hombre amable y cariñoso, profundamente dedicado a Alberta, a sus hijos y a sus nietos. Su carácter tranquilo se complementaba con su gusto por cantar música norteña y cuidar su jardín. A pesar de la distancia, su corazón permaneció siempre cerca de sus raíces en México, a donde regresaba con frecuencia para cuidar de sus vacas. La vida de Guillermo fue un testimonio de amor, familia y de las tradiciones que lo formaron, dejando un legado de calidez y bondad.

        Guillermo fue precedido en la muerte por sus padres, Hipólito Chávez y Ignacia Trejo Muñoz; y por sus hermanos, Gloria Chávez, Francisco Chávez, Victorino Chávez, Juana Chávez, Domitila Chávez y Eugenio Chávez. Le sobreviven su esposa, Alberta Trejo de Chávez; sus hijos, Armando Chávez y su esposa, Natali Chávez; Alberto Chávez y su esposa, Lizbeth Hernández; y Luisa Brenda Chávez y su esposo, Alejandro Salcedo; sus nietos, Miranda Chávez, Genesis Trejo, Alexa J. Salcedo-Chávez, Alan A. Salcedo-Chávez y Jason Y. Salcedo-Chávez; su hermano, Jose Chavez; además de numerosos familiares y amigos.

       Guillermo Chavez Trejo died June 26, 2026, in Lexington, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years 3 months 16 days. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Purcell, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

      Guillermo, born March 10, 1940, in Zimapan, Hidalgo, Mexico, to Hipolito Chavez and Ignacia Trejo Munoz, lived a life rich with dedication and love. Growing up on his family's ranch, his passion for horses blossomed early. In the summer of 1984, he married the love of his life, Alberta Trejo de Chavez, in Zimapan. That same year, they embarked on a new adventure, immigrating to the United States and eventually making a home in Lexington, Oklahoma. Guillermo was a gentle and caring soul, deeply devoted to Alberta, their children, and grandchildren. His quiet demeanor was matched by a love for singing Norteña's and tending to his garden. Despite the miles, his heart remained close to his roots in Mexico, where he often returned to care for his cows. Guillermo's life was a testament to love, family, and the traditions that shaped him, leaving a legacy of warmth and kindness.

      Guillermo is preceded in death by his parents, Hipolito Chavez and Ignacia Trejo Munoz; and his siblings, Gloria Chavez, Francisco Chavez, Victorino Chavez, Juana Chavez, Domitila Chavez, and Eugenio Chavez. Survivors include his wife, Alberta Trejo de Chavez; his children, Armando Chavez and wife, Natali Chavez; Alberto Chavez and wife, Lizbeth Hernandez; and Luisa Brenda Chavez and husband, Alejandro Salcedo; his grandchildren, Miranda Chavez, Genesis Trejo, Alexa J. Salcedo-Chavez, Alan A. Salcedo-Chavez, and Jason Y. Salcedo-Chavez; his brother, Jose Chavez; and numerous relatives and friends.
