Imogene Black died May 8, 2021 in Macomb, Oklahoma at the age of 89 years 9 months 17 days. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Prairie View Cemetery in Macomb, Oklahoma, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.
Imogene was born July 22, 1931 to William Orlando and Lola (Looney) Ginn, on the family farm in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. Her senior year in high school, she met the love of her life, Max M. Black. They were married on December 29, 1950, and spent the next 58 years on one adventure after another. Imogene, not afraid to tackle life's obstacles, worked all of her life doing whatever needed to be done. She dearly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren, teaching them something new, and always making sure each one knew how special they were. "Love Jesus with all of your heart", was the most important lesson Imogene taught her family, friends, and people she knew.
Imogene is preceded in death by her parents, William and Lola Ginn; her husband, Max M. Black; her sons, Max W. Black and DeWayne Black. She is survived by her daughter, Lola K. Skinner; her brother, W.O. Ginn; her 8 grandchildren; her 11 great grandchildren; her 1 great-great grandchild; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
