Jeffery Martin

Jeffery Martin died December 23, 2016 in Purcell, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years 1 month 4 days.  Funeral Services  are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Hillside cemetery.  Services are entrusted to Wadleys funeral service.
Jeffery was born on November 19, 1930 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma to Benjamin Sr. and Cetta (Amey) Martin. Jeffery grew up and attended Booker T. Washington High School in Purcell, graduating around 1948. He enjoyed taking long walks and writing letters. Jeffrey worked for the City of Purcell for a number of years. He proudly served in the US Army.

Jeffery is preceded in death by parents, Benjamin Sr. And Cetta (Amey) Martin; brothers, Emmit Martin, Benjamin Martin Jr., Albert Martin, Willie Martin; and sister, Gwendolyn Taylor. The ones he leaves to cherish his memories include his brothers, Ocedia Martin and wife, Cha of Lawton, Oklahoma, Horace Martin and wife, Sherry of Purcell, Oklahoma, Anthony Martin and wife Sheryl of Springtown, Texas, Melvin Martin of Springtown, Texas; sister-in-laws, Deloris Martin of Wichita, Kansas, Dee Martin of Edmond, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.
