Jeremy Dell Raney

     Jeremy Dell Raney died September 26, 2026, in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 55 years 4 months 22 days. Memorial Services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

     Jeremy was born May 4, 1971, in Norman, Oklahoma to Walter Richard and Cynthia Maurine (York) Raney. He was raised in the communities of Norman and Noble, Jeremy graduated from Noble High School in 1989. Jeremy embarked on a journey through various careers, most notably at United Design in Noble, where a serendipitous meeting on June 28, 1997, introduced him to the love of his life, Heather Edwards. His career path also led him to dedicate many years to street maintenance for the City of Norman. A lover of learning, Jeremy pursued further education at Rose State College. He found joy in simple pleasures, such as video games, movies, fishing, when he could, and tending to his beloved pets, especially his little dog, Daisy. His passion for the OU Sooners was legendary, with exuberant game-time celebrations marking his devotion. In his later years, Jeremy embraced social media and texting but above all, he cherished the time spent with his family, finding profound happiness in the company of his beloved grandbabies.

     Jeremy is preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia Raney; his niece, Cheyenne King; his grandparents; and his numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Survivors include his father, Walter Raney; his wife, Heather Edwards Raney; his brother, Richard Paul Raney; his children, Cierra Edwards and fiancé, Christian McCain, Christian Edwards and spouse, Carlie; his grandbabies, Haven and Hudson; his niece, Reagan Raney; his sisters-in-law, Delinda King and spouse, John, Julie Cossey; and numerous other relatives and friends.
