Jerry was born July 21, 1945, in Shawnee, Oklahoma to S.D. and Evelyn (Upton) Womack. Raised in Norman, Jerry graduated around 1963, a time that set the foundation for a life marked by profound connections and invaluable contributions. In 1967, Jerry answered the call to serve his country, enlisting in the United States Army, where he dedicated himself with honor and commitment until his discharge. On November 8, 1969, he joyfully wed Virginia “Ginger” Hackett in Norman, Oklahoma. Jerry found delight in the simple pleasures of life, often embarking on scenic drives around the lake, where moments of tranquility and reflection came alive. He had a remarkable ability to connect with others, embodying warmth and approachability; indeed, he never met a stranger. Jerry was known for his spirited enthusiasm for Fox News, and he took great pride in his Native American heritage, often attending powwows and sharing the richness of his culture. More than anything, Jerry cherished his family, finding joy in watching his grandchildren thrive in sports and other activities. Jerry was a devoted member of the Lighthouse Worship Center in Purcell, where his faith flourished alongside his community ties.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, S.D. and Evelyn Womack; his wife of 51 years, Ginger Womack; and his sister, Gayla Barton.
