Joshua Lee Barnard

     Joshua Lee Barnard died August 12, 2025, in Seminole, Oklahoma at the age of 36 years 18 days. Graveside Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Monday, August 18, 2025, at the Hillside Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

     Joshua was born July 25, 1989, in Oklahoma City, to Marvin and Gail (Tucker) Barnard. Joshua's journey unfolded amidst the towns of Norman, Purcell, and Lexington, where he was nurtured and educated. Throughout his life, Joshua embodied the spirit of hard work and dedication, engaging in various roles within the construction field. His hands, skilled and calloused, reflected a commitment to craftsmanship that defined much of his career. Beyond his professional endeavors, Joshua was a true outdoorsman at heart, finding joy and solace in the embrace of nature. He reveled in the tranquility of fishing, the serenity of camping, and the exhilaration of hiking—activities that allowed him to connect with the earth and the great outdoors he so dearly loved. In his moments of leisure, Joshua could often be found working on cars, a passion that enabled him to blend creativity with mechanics, showcasing his multifaceted talents. The memories Joshua created and the love he shared will remain etched in the hearts of those who knew him.

     Joshua is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Gail Barnard; his brothers, Darrell Barnard and Justin Barnard; and his aunt, Vickie Barnard. Survivors include his brother, Jason Barnard and wife, Jessica and their children; his grandmother, Dovie Barnard; his uncles, Gerald Barnard, Robert Barnard and wife, LaDonna; his girlfriend, Savanna Prater; his children; and numerous other relatives and friends.
