Kevin Lee Harmoning

     Kevin Lee Harmoning, a beacon of love and energy, left an unforgettable mark on everyone he met with his infectious passion for life, family and running. He passed away on September 20, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio, at the age of 53. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Crosspointe Church, 2601 24th Ave SE, Norman, OK, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.      Kevin was born July 8, 1972, in Anchorage, Alaska. His warm heart and vibrant spirit will live on in all who knew him. Kevin grew up in Alaska and Oklahoma, graduating from Lexington High School in 1991. He later earned an advanced associate's degree in Personal Training and Exercise Science from Bryan University, reflecting his lifelong commitment to health and wellness. Starting as a child, Kevin poured his heart into basketball, spending countless hours honing his skills. In high school, he discovered running, a passion that defined much of his life. From 5Ks to marathons, Kevin's love for running was boundless, and he proudly had a marathon-running frog tattoo on his leg in honor of his mother, Shirley, who always cheered him on. An avid sports fan, Kevin rooted for the OU Sooners, Ohio State Buckeyes, and even enjoyed the drama of WWE. His quirky love for frogs brought smiles to those around him. Kevin's greatest joy was his family. He cherished every moment with his son, Dylan, being a proud brother, and a beloved friend whose warmth lit up every gathering.

     Kevin now joins in eternal celebration his mother, Shirley Harmoning; his grandparents, Marjorie Bennett, Calvin Bennett, Thurman Harmoning, Juanita Harmoning, and Lillian Walters (Harmoning); his brother-in-law, Bill Hosler; and his sister-in-law, Stephanie Harmoning. He leaves behind his son, Dylan Harmoning; his fiancé’, Heather James and her daughter Maddie; his father, Glenn Harmoning and wife, Lillian; his brother, Mike Harmoning and wife, Courtney, and their children, Zac, Madison, McKinley and Miklyn; his sisters, Maranda Smith and husband, Vincent, and Tammi Harmoning; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members.

     As Kevin races among the stars, his love, laughter and unstoppable spirit inspire us all to live boldly, love fiercely, and maybe even collect a frog or two.
