Linda Kay Redmond

     Linda Kay Redmond passed peacefully September 27, 2026, in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years 2 months 23 days. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, October 2, 2026, at the Wadley’s Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

     Linda was born July 4, 1945, in Bakersfield, California, to William “Bud” and Dorothy Lea (Thomas) Haney. She was raised and attended school in Tulare, California. In 1961, she married Vernon Hill, with whom she shared 33 years of marriage and parting as friends. Love graced her life again when she wed David Redmond in 1997 in Oklahoma City. They later settled in Noble around 2004, moving from the McLoud area. Linda devoted many years to retail sales, working as a cashier. All of her life, Linda loved, protected and cared for animals, especially her dogs, who she thought of as her children. She was an avid gardener, cherishing her vibrant flowers, and found joy in classic western films, board games, and cards. Her life was anchored in faith, and she was a devoted churchgoer. Linda's delight was palpable when she acquired her first new car, a milestone accompanied by her fondness for a refreshing Mountain Dew. Yet, her greatest joy was her family, with whom she cherished every moment. Linda leaves behind a legacy of love, caring, faith and family values.

     Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Dorothy Haney; her birth father, Harold Taddy; her spouse, David Redmond; and her brothers, Ronald Haney, Robert Haney and an infant brother. She is survived by her children, Nancy Hill, Gene Hill and spouse, Cindy, Philip Hill, Dino Hill and spouse, Glenda; her 11 grandchildren, Katrina Hobson and spouse, Cody Torgerson, Tonya Moss, Shandra Elmore and spouse, Bobby, Stacey Hughes and spouse, Zachary, Caleb Hill and spouse, Erin, Malachi Hill and spouse, Blair, Joshua Hill and spouse, Riki, Zachari Hill, Traz Hill and spouse, Lanie, Josiah Hill, Bailey Hill; her 18 great grandchildren, Ty Hobson and spouse, MiKayla, Dalton Hobson and spouse, Lizzy, Waylon Hobson, Zachary Hornbuckle and spouse, Shaylee, Kamryn Adams and spouse, Trace, Aubrey Elmore, Sophie Elmore, Amelia Torgerson, Harper Hughes, Avery Hill, Alaina Hill, Bryn Hill, Mason Hill, Hayden Hill, Adalynn Hill, Paetyn Hill, Nolan Hill, Allie Hill; her 7 great-great grandchildren; her siblings, Buddy Haney and spouse, Lisa, Judy Moore; her special friend, Larry Jones; and numerous other relatives and friends.
