Lou Ella Stevens passed from this life December 13, 2025, in Noble, Oklahoma at the age of 89 years 27 days.      Lou, born November 17, 1936, in the small community of Comanche, Oklahoma, was the cherished third daughter among nine daughter, brought forth by the loving union of Thomas Lee and Leosia (Hooser) Towler. Her early years were spent in the sunny landscapes of Roswell and Albuquerque, New Mexico, where her early influences shaped her nurturing spirit. On a joyful day, November 24, 1951, Lou united in marriage with Marvin Ray Stevens in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Their partnership flourished beautifully for 55 wonderful years until Marvin's passing in 2007, a testament to their enduring love and devotion. In 1965, Lou and Marvin established their home in Oklahoma City, where they cultivated a rich life together for 21 years before embarking on a new chapter in Byars, Oklahoma, ultimately retiring to the small community of Purcell. Lou's passions were as vibrant as the lives she nurtured; she found joy in quilting and sewing masterpieces, and she spent countless hours tending to her cherished flower garden. Yet, her greatest joy came from her unwavering love for her family, caring for them with a dedication that knew no bounds. Lou will be remembered not only for her creativity and green thumb but also for the warmth and affection she spread among those fortunate enough to know her.

Lou is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Leosia Towler; her husband, Marvin Stevens; her sons, Lynn Stevens, Robbie Stevens, Danny Stevens and Dewayne Stevens; a great granddaughter, Emma Robinett; and 7 of her sisters. Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Stevens and spouse, Karl Cromer; her sister, Johnie Knight; her 16 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
