Michael Allen Spurlock

     Michael Allen Spurlock died March 22, 2026, in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 36 years 8 months 14 days. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, March 27, 2026, at the Wadley’s Funeral Chapel, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

     Michael was born July 8, 1989, in Ada, Oklahoma to Jackie Cooper and Darla Anne (Davis) Spurlock. Raised in Duncan, Oklahoma, Michael’s journey was marked by a deep love for his family and a tender heart that guided his every action. On September 17, 2022, Michael united in marriage with Jennifer Eakin in Slaughterville, Oklahoma, and together they built a warm and loving home in Norman. Throughout his life, Michael embraced the role of caretaker with unwavering dedication, finding profound joy in caring for those he cherished most. From an early age, Michael’s creative spirit shone brightly. He delighted in crafting poems and composing jingles about his family, uniquely capturing the essence of each loved one with affectionate nicknames. His hobbies reflected a rich and varied curiosity, encompassing fishing, and the collecting of hats, guns, knives, and flashlights. Michael’s gentle nature was complemented by a thoughtful concern for the world around him. He kept a keen interest in politics, often contemplating the well-being of our country, the hope for lasting peace, and the promising future of his children. As we reflect on Michael’s life, we remember a man of kindness, creativity, and quiet strength—a beloved husband, father, son, brother and caretaker, whose legacy will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

     Michael is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; his uncle, Gene Spurlock; and his aunt, Beth “Nanny Beth” Pierce. Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Spurlock; his mother, Darla Anne Savage; his father, Jackie Spurlock; his children, Bailey, Annabelle “Anna”, Hazel, Dustin, and Isabella; his brother, Dustin Spurlock; his mother and father-in-law, Lisa and Scott Eakin; his sisters-in-law, Chelcee Holden and husband, Andrew, Bethany “Dani” Eakin; his nieces and nephews, Stormy, Jace “Potato”, Cambryn, Emberlynn, Carter, Beckett; his many fur babies, and numerous other relatives and friends.
