Dale Richardson

     Orval Dale Richardson died June 23, 2025, in Purcell at the age of 71 years 11 months 22 days. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the Landmark Church in Purcell, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

     Dale was born July 1, 1953, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Orval Claude and Flossie Reva (Pierce) Richardson. His early years were spent in the country surroundings of Rosedale and Wayne, where he cultivated a spirit of kindness and a strong work ethic. On December 13, 1975, Dale embarked on a beautiful journey of love when he wed Lillion Diane Dobbins in Gainesville, Texas. Their union flourished for 37 cherished years, filled with laughter and companionship, until Diane’s passing in 2013 left an indelible mark on his heart. Dale dedicated a significant part of his life to serving others as a maintenance supervisor at local nursing homes, where his commitment to ensuring comfort and well-being for residents shone brightly. A man of simple pleasures, he found joy in fishing, relishing the excitement of football games, and occasionally testing his luck at the casino. Above all, it was the moments spent with family that brought him the greatest happiness.

     Dale is preceded in death by his parents, Orval and Flossie Richardson; his wife, Diane Richardson; his sister, Twana Francis; his brothers, Charles Richardson, Alvin Richardson and Kenneth Richardson. Survivors include his son, Scotty Richardson and wife, Kayla; his grandchildren, Kacen, Kyurston, Kody, Kolton and Karma; his great grandchildren, Santiago “Tigo” and Bryan “Bry-Bry”; his sisters, Brenda Base and Sue Brown; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
