Ruby Peltier

Ruby Bell Peltier passed away May 6, 2014 in Lexington, at the age of 93 years. Gravesite services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Chappel Hill Cemetery east of Lexington under the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Ruby was born April 9, 1921 to William David and Margaret Alice (Anderson) Brown in Wanette, Oklahoma. She was a life long resident of the Wanette community. Ruby worked for the Wanette Schools and later at OU where she retired. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Ruby raised her grandson, Edmond, and his welfare was her first concern. An avid gardener, Ruby enjoyed nothing better than being outside and most of all making a big garden. Picking apples from her trees and making good food was her forte’.

Ruby is preceded in death by her husband, her son and her grandson. She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great, greats; also many other family members, friends and neighbors. Ruby will be missed and she leaves a legacy of great memories.
