Ruth Thomas

Ruth (Nelson) Thomas died July 2, 2022, in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years 11 months 11 days.  Funeral Service are scheduled for 1:00PM, Friday, July 8, 2022, at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel, entrusted to the care of Wadley's Funeral Service.

Ruth, the youngest of 11 children born to Silas and Winnie (Montgomery) Nelson, was born July 22, 1934, in Norman, Oklahoma.  She was raised on the south side of Oklahoma City, graduating from Capitol Hill High School in 1952.  She married Kenneth Thomas on January 14, 1956, in Oklahoma City.  She loved sewing, gardening and taking care of her family.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Silas and Winnie Nelson; her 10 older siblings; and her son, Kenneth Thomas II.  Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Thomas; her daughter Kerry Pittman; her granddaughter, Rachel Pittman; her grandson, Toby Thomas and wife, Kayci; her great grandson, Detrick Thomas; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
