Terry Don Bumpus

     Terry Don Bumpus died August 1, 2026, in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 39 years 15 days. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the Full Gospel Church in Chickasha, Oklahoma, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

     Terry, affectionately known as bumpy or little bump, was born July 17, 1987, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, and graced this world with a generous spirit and an infectious sense of humor. The beloved son of Bruce and Robbin (Garrett) Bumpus, Terry embraced life in Chickasha, where he attended school and cultivated innumerable friendships, always greeting strangers with warmth. His life was a tapestry of diverse jobs, underscoring a character marked by helpfulness and a protective nature. Terry's passion for lowrider bikes led him to join a club, delighting in community parades that showcased his lively personality. A true lover of animals, he was known never to overlook a stray. Music flowed through Terry's veins, and he found joy in expressing himself through rap. Above all, family remained his cornerstone. Cherished and slightly spoiled by his grandmother and mother, he carried on this legacy of love with his own son, Kaleb, and his adored grandsons, Dominic and Karter. Referred to by his mother, Robbin, as her Sonflower, Terry’s life was a symphony of laughter and love, an enduring testament to the joy he brought to all who knew him.

     Terry is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Allie Garrett; his paternal grandparents, Beulah and Elisha Copeland and Christine Bumpus; his uncle, Domm Garrett; his aunt, Casey Garrett; his cousin, Domm Garrett II; and other aunts and cousins. Survivors include his parents, Bruce and Robbin Bumpus; his grandfather, Donald Garrett; his son, Kaleb Bumpus and fiancé, Mary Elmore; his grandchildren, Dominic Bumpus and Karter Bumpus; the mother of his son, Jacklyn Claywell; and numerous other relatives and friends.
