Todd Bryan Pendleton passed from this life March 20, 2026, in Goldsby, Oklahoma at the age of 62 years. Memorial Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Victory Family Church, 4343 N. Flood Ave, Norman, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.
Todd was born September 7, 1963, in Norman, Oklahoma, to Charles Oren and Deloris (Brooks) Pendleton. Raised in the Moore community, Todd completed his high school education in 1981 before pursuing his passion for art at the University of Oklahoma, where he earned a bachelor's degree in commercial art in 1985. During his time at the university, Todd met Robyn Thompson, and their bond blossomed into a lifelong partnership, culminating in their marriage in August 1986. An artist from an early age, Todd began his professional journey with The Oklahoman in 1988. Initially part of the advertising art department, he later transitioned to the editorial department, lending his talents to illustrations and cartoons that graced the opinion and news pages. In recognition of his dedication and skill, he was named art director in 2004. Todd also generously shared his expertise as an adjunct professor, teaching a Graphic in Journalism course at his alma mater. Notably, he was a pioneer in guiding the transition from traditional hand-drawn artistry to the evolving realm of digital illustration and graphic design. Beyond his artistic contributions, Todd was deeply committed to serving his community. For many years, he volunteered with the Goldsby Fire Department, responding selflessly to numerous fire and medical emergencies. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, expressed through active membership and volunteerism at Victory Family Church. Known for his enduring optimism and warm sense of humor, Todd had a gift for finding positivity in every circumstance and sharing joy with those around him. He delighted in playing basketball with friends and treasured his role as a devoted family man. His selflessness was evident in countless ways—whether sharing coffee with his mother, tending to her lawn each week, or assisting his sons and their wives by caring for his beloved grandchildren amidst the demands of daily life. Todd’s life was a testament to love, creativity, and service. His legacy endures in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.
