Tricia Dawn Clour-Uribe was called home by the Lord on the morning of August 31, 2025, granting her the peace and rest she so deeply earned. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at the Crosspointe Church in Ada, Oklahoma, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.
Tricia was born on February 24, 1971, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Though Oklahoma was always home, she also carried deep love for her years spent in Mesa, Arizona, before settling in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. From a young age, Tricia found joy in family gatherings, especially those spent at the lake with her grandparents, aunts, and uncles. She cherished learning to cook and bake alongside her Grandma Vera, lessons filled with love that she carried throughout her life. Tricia and her sister Tammy shared a special bond through their love of dance, learning early on the value of hard work as they cleaned the local dance hall just to earn their place in recitals. Tricia’s greatest pride and purpose in life came when she became a mother to her son, Justin. Their bond was unbreakable. They were best friends, confidants, and each other’s strength. Tricia faced every challenge of single motherhood with fierce determination and unwavering love, never giving up on her son even through the hardest of times. Her perseverance and work ethic were unmatched. Often holding two jobs to provide for her family, Tricia exemplified dedication in all that she did. In the summer of 2000, she fulfilled a lifelong dream by earning her associate’s degree in criminal justice, a milestone achieved through sheer will and determination. After several years in Arizona, she returned to Oklahoma to be closer to her family and soon found her true calling in public service. Tricia joined the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, where her strength, leadership, and compassion earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues and inmates alike. Through hard work and integrity, she rose to the rank of Sergeant at the Lexington Assessment and Reception Center. Her coworkers often affectionately called her “Mom”, a reflection of her caring nature and the protective spirit she brought to her team. Even as her health declined following the loss of her parents, Tricia’s determination never wavered. After the amputation of her left leg, she amazed everyone by returning to work, refusing to let adversity define her. She faced every trial with courage and grace, inspiring all who knew her. Tricia was tough yet kind, respected yet humble. A woman of integrity, loyalty, and love. She was someone you could confide in, who always offered encouragement and support without judgment. Her legacy lives on in her family, her friends, and the countless lives she touched through her compassion and unwavering strength.
Tricia is preceded in death by her parents, Alton Ray “Corky” Clour Jr. and Karen Yvonne Clour; and her grandparents, Vera Moody Clour and Alton Ray Clour Sr. Survivors include her devoted son and greatest joy, Justin Dee Lane Clour; her siblings, Steven Terrian MacAnally, Tammy Colvin, and Gregory Clour; and her beloved nieces and nephews, Heather MacAnally, Geoffrey Colvin, Alyssa Colvin, Matthew Colvin, Athena Clour, and Aiden Clour.
