Vicky Jo Stover

     Vicky Jo Stover passed peacefully surrounded by her family July 4, 2025, in Wanette, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years 2 months 25 days. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at the Wanette First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Wanette Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

     Vicky was born April 10, 1955, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to James and Betty Jo (Shelton) Morphew. Raised amidst the landscapes of the Maysville and Purcell areas, she blossomed into a bright spirit and proudly graduated from Purcell High School in 1973. On the joyous occasion of April 2, 1973, Vicky and Michael L. Stover exchanged vows, embarking on a journey filled with love and companionship. Vicky dedicated herself to her profession with the United States Postal Service, where she began her service as a rural mail carrier in June 1983, ultimately retiring in 2020 after many fulfilling years. Outside of her esteemed career, Vicky found immense joy in the beauty of life—immersing herself in gardening, creating exquisite stained-glass masterpieces, painting, and refining homes with delicate decor and thoughtful tile work. However, it was the time spent with her beloved family that brought her the greatest happiness. Vicky's legacy will continue to inspire all who knew her.

     Vicky is preceded in death by her parents, James and Betty Jo Morphew; and a grandson, Brock Michael Williamson. Survivors include her husband, Michael L. Stover; her son, Isaac “Clint” Stover and wife, Katy; her daughters, Sara Dolan and husband, Matthew and Tara Williamson and husband, Edward; her sisters, Deborah Green and Elizabeth Morphew; her brother, Curtis Morphew; her grandchildren, Laura Dolan, Layne Stover, Nathan Dolan, Jillian Stover, Skyler Dolan; her great grandchildren, Jolee Taylor, Evelynn Dolan, Analee Dolan and one on the way; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
