Brandon Wayne Dillard passed away on January 13, 2022, in Gainesville, Texas, at the age of 37 years 4 months 21 days. A Celebration of Life service will be held on March 26, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Lexington First Baptist Church in Lexington, Oklahoma, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.
Brandon was born August 23, 1984, in Crockett, Texas to Darlene Collett and Michael Dillard. He grew up in Anadarko, Oklahoma, moving to Texas, where he lived until 1999. The family then moved to Georgia, living in Smyrna for a time, then settling in Atlanta. Brandon attended high school in Atlanta where he made many lifelong friends. He was a granite masonry man by trade. Brandon had also spent time working as a commercial fisherman and also traveling the concert scene building and dismantling stage sets. Brandon, a traveling gypsy of the East Coast and Deep South, was a hippy at heart. He could get himself from Oklahoma to Florida using only $20 dollars and the help of his network of friends throughout the country. Brandon enjoyed fishing the Atlantic Ocean and was known to keep a fishing pole in his truck. He could build anything, liked to go hiking, and attend gatherings. Brandon may have always been the shortest in a crowd, but he was mighty in spirit and the life of the party. Most importantly, Brandon loved his children. They were his pride and joy and he was very fond of his nephew, Augustus.
Brandon is preceded in death by his father, Michael Dillard; his grandparents, Mike and Faye Tooman; his aunt, Doris Ware; and his uncle, Warren Tooman. Survivors include his children: Chloe Dillard, Eli Dillard, Maddie Dillard, and Malachi Dillard; his mother, Darlene Collett and Tony Padgett; his sister, Kassandra Watkins and Jesse Sosa; and many other friends and gathering members.
